Frequently asked questions

Buying eggs, pullets or feed, and the farm questions we answer most often.

Buying eggs

How much is a tray of eggs?

A tray of 30 eggs typically sells between KES 380 and KES 480 at farm gate. Town retail is higher. See the egg price guide.

What is the minimum order?

We sell by the tray. For delivery outside Nyeri, a crate or more is usually needed to make the trip worthwhile.

Do you deliver?

Yes, for regular orders. Call or WhatsApp 0700 005 252 with your location and quantity so we can confirm the route and cost.

How are eggs packed?

In standard 30-egg trays, stacked and handled to reduce breakage. Report any breakage on delivery before signing.

Chicks and pullets

What breeds do you sell?

ISA Brown and Kenbro. Compare them in the breed comparison.

Are the birds vaccinated?

Yes. Ask for the vaccination record when you collect, and keep it with your flock records.

At what age do you sell pullets?

We sell at different stages, including point of lay. Availability changes, so confirm by phone before travelling.

How many should I start with?

Start with 100 to 300 birds if this is your first commercial flock. Read the startup guide.

Feeds and payment

What feeds do you mill?

Chick mash, growers mash and layers mash. See the feed programme.

Can you formulate a custom ration?

Talk to us about your raw materials and flock stage. We will tell you what is realistic and what needs testing.

How do I pay?

M-PESA or bank transfer. Orders are confirmed once payment or a deposit is received.

Do you offer credit?

Only for established repeat buyers, by agreement. Ask before placing a large order.
